Over the two days, you’ll learn how to transform your collection of scrap fabrics into a beautiful new geometric fabric using a unique patchwork technique. You’ll then use your newly created fabric to make your chosen project.
Choose Your Project
The Ultimate Scrap-Busting Tote Bag - Perfect for next-stage beginners who haven’t yet ventured into garment making, you’ll create your own geometric scrap fabric before turning it into a practical and stylish tote bag.
Your tote will include a lining and internal pockets, giving you the opportunity to practise a range of useful sewing techniques while creating something you’ll actually use.
For the more experienced sewist, take your scrap fabric to the next level by creating the Berger Waistcoat by Atelier Scammit.
This stylish, lined waistcoat features an open front with no closure, making it the perfect canvas for showcasing your unique scrap-busting fabric. The finished piece will be a real statement garment and a fantastic addition to your handmade wardrobe.

- A sewing machine in good working order

Level - Next Stage Beginner to Improver
This workshop is suitable for anyone who has some sewing experience and has made at least one garment or completed a sewing project before. You should be comfortable with the basics of using a sewing machine and ready to develop your skills further.

Important Information
We carefully plan each workshop to give you the best opportunity to complete your garment during the session. However, sewing speeds vary and some design options may take longer than others. If you don't quite finish during the workshop, we'll ensure you leave feeling confident about completing your garment at home.
A minimum of four participants is required for the workshop to run. If minimum numbers are not reached one week before the workshop date, we will contact you to arrange an alternative date or offer a full refund if rescheduling is not possible.
