Regular price £95.00Choose the Sauvie Sundress or the Mave Skirt
Spend the day sewing a beautiful, wearable garment you’ll reach for all summer long — and choose the project that suits your style.
Whether you’re dreaming of a floaty strappy dress or a swishy elastic-waist skirt with pockets, this workshop gives you the skills, confidence and guidance to create it yourself.
With expert tuition in a relaxed and supportive environment, you’ll be guided step-by-step through measuring, cutting and constructing your garment — building your confidence with drapey fabrics and professional finishing techniques along the way.
Your Project Options
The Sauvie Sundress
An effortless strappy summer dress designed for comfort, ease and style. Layer it over a T-shirt as a pinafore, wear it as a casual daytime piece, or elevate it with beautiful fabric for an evening look.
We’ll be sewing the simple straight short or long version in class (elastic or additional tiers can be added at home if desired).
Perfect in:
-
Linen for structure and stability
-
Viscose or rayon for a soft, floaty finish
The Mave Skirt
An elastic-waist skirt with drawstring, inseam pockets and beautiful movement.
In this workshop, you’ll sew the first length with one tier, plus:
-
Elasticated waistband
-
Functional drawstring
-
Inseam pockets
You’ll gain fantastic experience sewing with drapey fabrics such as viscose, rayon, lightweight lawns and chambray — and leave confident to add more tiers at home if you wish.

How the Day Works
You’ll begin by reviewing your pattern and measurements before pinning and cutting your fabric (patterns must be traced(optional) and cut out in advance for the both garments due to time constraints).
After a 30-minute lunch break, the afternoon is dedicated to sewing — constructing your garment step-by-step with guidance throughout.
We always aim to finish during the workshop, but if time runs short, you’ll leave fully confident to complete your garment at home.
