What they will do:
A two day workshop sewing the fantastic Chanterelle trousers by Sew Liberated.
The Chanterelle Pants and Shorts are the casual bottoms that can take a starring role in your wardrobe – dressed up in bright colors and fancy fabrics, casual in lightweight denim, or easy and cozy in soft fabrics.
With three options a wide leg, a wide short or a cuffed bottom trouser these are a really fabulous trouser, with an elasticated waist these will make a great fit on all shapes.
We recommend a light- to medium-weight woven fabric that has no stretch.
The drape or hand of the fabric will impact the look of the final garment. Softer fabrics will fall more gently, and more stable fabrics will emphasize the leg shaping. Some wonderful choices are chambray, viscose-linen slub, sandwashed linen or cotton, ikat, Brussels washer linen, light twill (like Ventana twill), or Essex cotton-linen blend.

Adapting the pattern to fit if needed
Inserting elastic
Inserting pockets
Adding cuffs if you choose that option
What you will need:
A sewing machine – if you need to use one of ours please let us know when you book
A basic sewing kit – scissors, pins tape measure etc – we do have a supply of these if you need to use ours.
Your chosen fabric – a full list of the fabric amount will be emailed once you booked
The pattern is included and will be sent to you before the class for you to trace or cut out in your size

Advanced beginner – you will ned to have sewn a couple of garments before booking on this class.

Please note we try to calculate how long a workshop will be and plan to finish each garment in the allocated time but this isn’t always possible, If you are unable to finish in the workshop time we will make sure you are confident with your garment to be finished at home.
