Our New Home
I am delighted to finally share that we have a very exciting new home. In January 2026, Make Fabric Boutique and our talented team of makers will be moving to Plymouth’s award-winning museum and art gallery, The Box.

Our boutique will take over the gorgeous ‘Little Box’ - a self-contained space opposite the main entrance on Tavistock Place - with our workshops hosted in the modern and spacious main building.

This is a great move for us, but most of all for our loyal customers. This modern building in a central location offers much improved accessibility in terms of transport links, parking, and facilities.
Situated next to Arts University Plymouth and opposite the University of Plymouth, in the centre of the city; The Box is at the heart of Plymouth’s arts scene, and we look forward to forging new creative collaborations with the community there.
Charlie Pascoe, Commercial Manager at The Box said: “We;re delighted to be able to welcome Make to The Little Box. We can’t wait to see how they bring the space alive and are looking forward to Lizzy, her team, and her customers becoming a part of The Box ‘family’ with their thriving fabric boutique and workshop programme.”
We have enjoyed a wonderful seven years with Real Ideas Organisation at Royal William Yard, and we will be sad to leave this beautiful building and our colleagues here. But I am also thrilled for this opportunity to evolve Make, and expand our community of sewers, makers, and creators.
Make Fabric Boutique will be open as usual in Royal William Yard until 4pm on Sunday 18 January (please take note of our new Christmas hours). We will open our new shop and resume our programme of classes and workshops at The Box in early February 2026. This new schedule of workshops is available to book now.
In the meantime, I have a lot of work to do! I look forward to sharing some updates and sneak peeks over the next few months.
